Luís Sozinho was born on March 20, 1988 in the District of Nacala-Porto in Nampula, northern Mozambique.
He’s been drawing since he was a kid like any other child. He graduated in Visual Arts in 2014 from the Higher Institute of Arts and Culture (ISArC) in maputo province – Mozambique, where, since 2015 he teach Art History and Art Direction for Cinema. He is a Master’s student of Design and Multimedia at the Pedagogical University in Maputo. Circus is the series that composes his first Solo Exhibition where the artist presents 13 unpublished works in the acrylic technique on canvas.

The artist has collective participation exhibitions such as AFRICAN GALLERIES NOW 202 and Go go go – Maputo Art fair 2021 both promoted by Arte de Gema Gallery, in addition to several editions of the Crescent collection from Kulungwana among other exhibitions.
